Brigadier General Dr. Mukhtar bin Awad Al-Jaafari launched a training course on enhancing community participation this morning in Al Ghaydah. The course was attended by a number of officials and community figures.

During the launch, Brigadier General Al-Jaafari emphasized the importance of these courses in empowering community members, especially those involved in conflict resolution, to promote peace and maintain social harmony. He also affirmed the support of the local authorities, represented by the Governor of Al Mahrah, Mr. Mohammed Ali Yasser, by providing them with all available facilities.

Project Director, Mr. Obaid Waked, explained that the "Tarabut Project" aims to enhance community participation by developing the capacities of law enforcement officers and community committees, as they are essential pillars in conflict resolution and local peacebuilding.

The eight-month project aims to train 200 security leaders and community committee members in five districts in Al Mahrah and Hadhramaut governorates, with special attention paid to women's participation in promoting community peace.
